Balrog
Removed all extra mana from weaponries
Devil 1340 cr --> 1400 cr
Demon (15/13) --> (14/13)

And for age 30 it might look like this(exact numbers are missing)

Actions
- Pillage: Increase gains from destroyed buildings by 200%.
- Changed default building damages for Wildfire/Engineered Explosives/Tunneling to 1% instead of 0.75%. 1% is the same as Arson.
- Altering the heritage bonus a bit for some races.
- Poison Water: sending 1 thieve will result in a minimum of 50 citizens killed.
- important! Barracks will not reduce military training cost while in protection.
- Warding: 0.25% more population --> 0.5% more population
- Economics: 0.25% lower military training costs --> 0.5% lower military training costs

Miscellaneous
THANK YOU for all the bug reports. I won't include all bug fixes in this preview. But I can tell you, it helped a lot to have the bugs organized in 1 place.
Reports marked as “In progress” are the things that are fixed next age.

- Went back to 3 possible layouts(removed experimental) and added a lot of the experimental+some more styling to the defaults.
- While fixing some layout issues I decided to start with HTML5. So for code junkies; you might see some refreshing source code(some pages more than others).
- While redoing HTML and CSS, mobile support has improved even more. Opera Mini will work 100%!(also, all data will be delivered compressed for mobiles to save a little bit of data)
- Added a script to fix CSS(layout styling) problems in IE6 and IE7. Might slow down your browser for a bit but should fix all the important layout problems. Though I would still advise everyone to upgrade their browser(too bad some companies won't allow it)
- Removed some annoyances in the archives. Should now always show correct data.
- Added a pager on the mail page. Showing 30 mail per page.



Working on(may or may not be included next age)
- Suggestions/age changes tracker(copy of the bug tracker).
- Recoding and redesigning the registration pages.
- Coding an in game chatbox with a global channel and alliance channels.
- Player profile pages
- More settings, including but not limited to, disabling images and scripting completely or mobile only.


Other stuff for in the future
- Make losses more depending on the defender 's DPA.(numbers and limits yet to decide)
- Fame/Toughness/Industry. We know it's controversial, don't worry about it being listed here.

Bad idea. Low citz, low income. And specs will have even higher ccsts. When it change like this, I'm sure I won't be dragon nezt age.

I see some strong dragons around. And they live to 120 instead of 100... I think they're scary.
Of course it depends on your playing style but dragons will still be strong.

Does this mean you no longer need to send 1/3 of the enemy's land amount of thieves? Cause the way I read it, this says it only takes 1 thief to kill 50 citz...which also makes PW much better at finishing off tribes than FBs

I'm new to this game. I'm a Light Elf that started at 400 acres with 0/5 guys being 1,500 its hard to grow. Now your making them 1,600 just seems impossible for someone like me starting at 400 with them to grow.

nah, huhgiugjh. LEs are among the best explorers atm, the tweak makes sense, lowering istaris from 1700 or whatever they cost before to 1500 was maybe too radical, trying an age with 1600 seems just fine to me.

Welcome to the game [:D]
I never played LE before, but I've seen others grow quite easily. Of course it is harder for new players than it for the old guys. Also, some races are easier at large sizes and some are easier on small sizes.
I can not make LE easier just for new guys. I can only give you some advise.
- Always keep your selfspells running(most important for LE)
- Join the chat and ask anything you want. There is almost always people around that would like to answer all your questions.(just don't always expect an immediate response, some like me only read the channel every few hours.

@CBeast. Poison Water always only needed 1 thieve to kill citizens. Except it used to be 12 or so. Which with the price of Poison Water was not sufficient to be able to kill someone with 1 tick worth of TP.
Seemed fair of me to give thieves a more equal chance in killing someone off as mages have.
I would like this to be noted in the guide though.

I think 30 citz for a succesful PW is good enough. 50 is too good, 4 PWs are cheaper than the FBs you sometimes need.
At least make it 49 instead of 50 xD

@ 5k acres
FB costs 25 MP
PW costs 70 TP

As for an example I'll use a real number of 1000 MP or 1000 TP(HO and guilds are comparable, they both give 1 TP/MP)
Regrowth is
125 MP
200 TP

In 1 tick:
5 FB killing 5*30=150 citizens
~2.9 PW killing 2.9*50=145 citizens


You could argue that thieves are more likely to have a better success ratio. But that's only because of a lack in thievery defense players tend to have(and possibly some bugs, but I'm not going add bugs in equations).

Try purchasing the elites instead for defense. They're less efficient but cheaper which helps you to grow at small sizes.

an idea would be to just avoid being 400 acres as a light elf.. go with something quick growing and when you have some heritage, then pick lightelf. 400 acres is sorta brutal for them

spirit, high elf and oleg are all valid as 400acre starter races, DE so-so.

I'd say dragon, nazgul, light elf, undead and balrog.

I only see nazgula and LE as being legit answers....Seriously, BALROGS??? We all know theyre overpowered. Temps aren't hard to grow with either- EM makes it pretty easy. Draggies have an extra 20 years...so I don't see the problem with that either.

Hm, somehow I misread what Bolle was saying as the opposite. :P

That changes things:

In a vacuum: dragon/balrog

Balrog is quite efficient currently but is still one where the expense of its units at small sizes makes growth quite slow. Dragons have the same issue though the extra 20 years compensates them for it pretty well.
