well i lightning bolted a high elf who razed me - i didn't kill any troops for some reason even though i lightning bolted 2 hrs after he attacked. 21 succeeded - is this a bug? I know he must have sent enough troops to at least lose some. does the immortality mean i cannot kill his troops? should it be working like this? | |

Tested on devork. LB does kill immortals, so the bug is likely something else.

you sure you used lightning bolt on the right tribe? ive got nine failed in my tribe news and my army was at home.

If it wasn't a tribe who attacked into your alliance then you cannot kill any units. It will come up with;
Quote That quote also applies if the tribe who attacked has his military home already.Their army is out of your mage'Âs reach. So, it was the right tribe. The returning army was not home. And you succeeded with 21 casts. But killed 0 units. That's a bug. |

did it say you detected failed lightning bolts at all?

Actually there may be an error where trying to target someone who hasn't attacked wont stop the spells from being cast. It tells you the mage is out of reach, and then the spells succeed and fail as normally, but any successes just kill 0 units.
That's my theory. |

hahah doesn't matter it is long past now, the other lightning bolts i have casted have worked
