i just got tricked by using Blasphemy Crusade, attacking a High Elf thinking it would kill his immortals. Testing on devork confirms that BC doesn't kill immortal units on the defense.
That's not how it is supposed to function. It used to kill immortal units, after all, not sure when that could have changed. |

I've never seen BC kill defending troops for immortals...but it was recently changed so it kills attacking troops for HE as it didn't earlier. Or was that only on Classic? Can't really remember :P

I think it shouldn't anymore since everyone can use the mortality spell.

BC kills immortal units on the offense, not on the defense, and I believe it's been like that for a long time.
